Combining function with aesthetics and then blending this into a family environment was the challenge with this project.
The first thing you'll notice about this kitchen is its moody personality. But, don't let this fool you, Charcoal is timeless and here at Snug kitchens we love it. Balance is key to this renovation and with dark matt lacquers in combination with soft grey's, this kitchen makes a big statement.
This project involved the extensive updating of a large, Victorian era house situated in Newbury, Berkshire. As a family home, this open-plan renewal combines dining, kitchen and lounge areas into one inviting space. To bring harmony to it's sharp, contemporary aesthetic, the room floods with light from a central skylight and column-less doors. Wood effect, ceramic flooring flows seamlessly from kitchen to garden enhancing the open-plan nature of this space.
Here at Snug kitchens we like to do things differently. Times have changed since a kitchen was a room in itself, almost all the projects we undertake evolve into open-plan spaces. Our design process doesn't just focus on one area of the house. This way we can create a real synergy throughout rooms and ensure that you're left with a kitchen you adore.
