“Our business was up against many prestigious retailers in the industry and we are thrilled to bits to have won this award. This award builds on our previous success in the SBID International Design Awards where we were shortlisted in the ‘KBB Design’ category. At Snug, we pride ourselves on design excellence, using the latest technology and materials to create beautiful and unique kitchens for our clients. We engage with our clients early to support them in creating the best possible space for their new kitchen. We like to be fully integrated with each project, working closely with our clients’ architects, builders, and interior designers through to project completion. This award reinforces our approach, and recognises our uniqueness in the industry, it is a reflection of our whole team, at Snug, as well as our suppliers and partners.”

Handleless furniture ranges are used to maintain the contemporary style of the scheme and improve functionality. The wooden veneer tall units bring out the warm tones in the faux marble porcelain worktop, helping to create a cozy atmosphere and adding textural contrast against the ultra-matt units of the island.
The kitchen showcased our bespoke slide-and-hide bi-folding larder unit featuring a worktop slab, open shelving and internal drawers. When left open the unit functions as a breakfast cupboard/pantry strategically positioned close to the breakfast bar seating.
Our award winning kitchen is part of a contemporary ground floor extension comprising an open-plan kitchen, living and dining room, the kitchen required the functionality to support a keen baker and cake decorator with clever use of storage, smooth expansive worktops, good ergonomics and plenty of natural lighting. At the same time, it had to maintain a sophisticated design look in keeping with modern style of the home.
Central to the scheme is the showstopping L-shaped island, cleverly designed to accommodate its simultaneous use of two distinct zones, cooking and baking.
The hob is situated on the ‘cooking side’ with a clear sightline overlooking the dining and living areas to create a sociable family hub that keeps the cooking among the action.
On the ‘baking side’ large base units provide ample storage for appliances and utensils, while thoughtful positioning underneath the overhead skylight maximises the natural light flooding in to create optimum cake decorating conditions.
